community - We gather. This is what humans do.
We talk, compare, negotiate, laugh, cry, fight and rejoice with
the people of our tribe, our group, our family. Our community is
an integral part of our identity; we are formed by and in turn,
help to form our community. A faith community is a gathering that
embodies a very intimate and fundamental need. It can take many
forms, as many as there are types of people; denominations abound
and even within these there is often a huge spectrum. Faith communities
are also members of larger communities, suburbs, towns, language
groups, races etc. Thus it has always been and thus will it be;
the form may change but the gathering will remain.
