Do I need to pay?
Most people don't.
Some do but it's easy and affordable.

I have tried to make this site as easy to use as possible. Due to the nature of the internet (and of copyright) however, there is often some confusion. I have answered some important questions here and as time goes by, I will answer more. Common sense, mutual respect and honesty should suffice if all else fails.

coming soon
Having said all of the above, I will soon be implementing changes that should make the site much easier to use (and more fun). This will include a subscription system that will make payment (for those that need to) far more easy and affordable.

how to get a cartoon
1. Find the cartoon you want.
2. Download the cartoon, see how to download.
3. Some people may need to pay something, see licenses.
4. Buy a license by adding it to your shopping cart, see how to buy.
5. Enjoy the cartoon with a clear conscience.

joy
Just to clarify... I am very flattered when anyone likes a cartoon enough to want to take it home. I'm doubly pleased because it means my work was not in vain, my little creatures are out there, on the job. So thank you for your interest and I hope the cartoons bring you joy.

trust
Cartoonists are usually motivated by passion, rather than for instance, financial gain. Most cartoonists are poor (but happy...?).

In some cases (not all) I ask for payment for the use of the cartoons. I have decided not to restrict access to the cartoons however, but rather to rely on your honesty to pay where it is required. This is trust. I figure that with an audience that is mostly christian, the chances of getting some payments are higher than average.

offence
At best, these cartoons have changed people's perpective on life (for the better), at other times they've amused, or just broken the tedium of a page of text. Sometimes the cartoons offend. For this I apologise.

It may be that the intent of the cartoon is misunderstood, it may be that there is violent disagreement with the content, it may be that the tone is perceived to be irreverent or inappropriate. Whatever the cause, please know that my intent is to strengthen, uplift, comfort or inspire. There is enough evil and dissent in the world without deliberately adding to it.

I hope, if you take offence, that you will accept my apology and view the issue as a symptom, not of malicious intent but of different perspectives.

internet issues
I have designed the site to work smoothly and quickly on both Internet Explorer and Netscape. I have even provided a simplified search page in case the dropdown menus don't work for some reason. This is the internet though, so there will be occassional problems. These I will try to fix promptly.

Payment is as simple as I could think to make it. The payment is facilitated by PayPal, an international money transfer agency that is trusted by millions around the world. They have created a relatively simple but very safe model for payment on the internet, I hope it suits you.

security
All money transactions are performed through PayPal. This site has extremely rigorous and tested security measures in place, it is used and trusted by millions around the globe. Both my own computer and my host server have standard security protocols and virus protection in place.

contact
If you're moved to contact me, try chris@cxmedia.com. I'm keen to see how people respond to the cartoons. They've been appearing in church bulletins (mostly without permission) for many years now and have generally been enthusiastically received.

Now that they are available to the whole world (apart from the two thirds that don't have access to a phone line) there is a much bigger and more diverse audience. In time I'd like to add a rating system and some way for people to tell stories about the cartoons (that's the thing, cartoons often evoke stories... strange but true). For now, it's just you visiting, I hope you enjoy your stay.
